Description: Publication of the Urban Renewal Administration, an amendment of the Title I Housing Act of 1949. The Title I Act provided federal financing to demolish substandard housing in favor of urban renewl projects. The process resulted in the widespread demolition of working class neighborhoods in favor of middle class housing developments.
